Feb 13th

We had the day off from WFR today so I decided to do a perimeter hike of all of the trails we use with kiddos.  I unknowingly picked  the least clearly marked trail to start with and ended up going 1.5 miles, convincing myself I had gone the wrong way, going back .5 miles, realizing that had been the right way after all, taking the wrong route at a juncture and going a mile in the wrong direction, finally finding the right trail, following it for another 1.5 miles, then completely losing the trail, wandering the wilderness trying to get high up enough to see the trail and running into a cattle fence, and then stumbling upon the trail again after giving up and heading back down the drainage I had come up.  I took this very terrible picture when I hit the first landmark that made me positive I had finally found the right trail again.

Crazy eyes stem from excitement about not having to spend the night in a field.
