After jamming all of my goods, including bedframe and mattress, into my parent's mini-SUV and making the harrowing 4.5 hour drive with no visibility in 3.5 of 6 windows, finally made it to Hancock field station at 4pmish and spent the entire rest of the evening trying to fit my pretty big bed into my pretty small A-frame, going on a decorating frenzy, and snuggling up to rest for the first day of Wilderness First Responder Training.

Moving is the absolute worst. My plan was to be done packing by noon, done moving out by 2. I finally left the house at almost 6 pm, having unwittingly left most of my toiletries in the bathroom sink and my blankets downstairs on the couch.
Spending the entire day alone in my big red house packing up my life and then locking my keys inside inspired me to go emo and take some artsy shots.
Fro-yoing my feelings. Proof that the universe is sometimes a kind and gentle place: move-out day is also national frozen yogurt day which means free yogurt and toppings for all. Delish.
Mega Ultra Bonus Points to kristen who pulled a late night library run/Gubanc's parking lot handoff so that I wouldn't be without floofy reading material in the middle of nowhere.

Last day at Peets and house dinner!
the last time i stopped baristaing, making these is what I missed most. (after my coworkers, of course) We have an 'espresso machine' here at Hancock, but so far no luck in achieving a trad capp...
Jeffery is about 30 seconds from dropping that entire tray of potatoes on the floor...
These fajitas turned out SO AMAZING. We do not mess around when it comes to house dinners.
